Who We Are
Founder of B-Fit, Joey has been a martial arts instructor for 27 years and a strength/health coach for 12 years. B-Fit was the first fitness studio in Montreal to specialize in prenatal & Postnatal fitness and a one of a kind fertility fitness/holistic health program. Joey has worked with the physically disabled, elite athletes, CEOs, surgeons, new moms, teens, people with chronic illness, young athletes and anyone else who has had some element of fitness or general health with which they sought to improve. He believes that you can not help people thrive without building a strong base, starting from the inside with mindset and followed by the pillars pf physical health – mechanics and stability. He has recently become part of an international mental health organization as a mindset coach, helping people with self motivation, behavior consistency and body awareness.
Sports have always been a part of my lifestyle. The positive energy and enthusiasm it has brought me is something that, as personal trainer, I try to put forth for my clients. I am certified by YMCA’s Individual Conditioning program and I incorporate functional training in workouts to make sure my clients understand how to perform exercises that benefit their goals. I focus on catering to individual needs and goals, from weight loss to people with heart conditions. In my spare time, I try to catch Montreal Canadiens games or shoot some hoops.
Introducing Tatyana, the newest member of the B-Fit team. Tatyana’s passion for sports began with ballet at the age of 4, and was followed by a lifetime of competition in gymnastics, soccer but most of all, martial arts. Earning her black belt in karate by the age of 14, she attributes her high level of discipline and focus to this study and is commited to imparting this skill to her clients. Now certified in individual training and corrective conditioning she likes to use a combination of resistance training, calisthenics and yoga to create balanced programming for her clients. She believes that keeping the workouts varied and creative is what keeps people happy and engaged and more likely to reach their potential. Tatyana will be specializing in prenatal/postnatal fitness as well as incorporating some yoga and mobility programs.
